Reverse: In a cartouche between oak branches in the section 3-line inscription: HIE BASEL / HIE SCHWEIZER= / BODEN, half-length portraits of Swiss Confederates and Baselers shaking hands, in the background a procession, above a banner with 1501, signed above HANS FREI.
